Rivermark has been endorsed as a Gold Waterwise Development by the Water Corporation.

Recognised for achieving outstanding outcomes in water efficient design and storm water management, Rivermark will reduce potable water use by more than 20 per cent when compared to the average Perth household.

As a Gold Waterwise Development, Rivermark demonstrated alignment to the Water Sensitive Cities Index framework, including Governance and community capital; Productivity, resilience and resource efficiency; and ecological health and quality urban space. Projects that receive this endorsement have demonstrated best-practice outcomes in sustainability and water-sensitive principles to help shape liveable communities.

The Water Corporation’s Waterwise Development Program was developed in partnership with the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) in 2014, after recognising the fundamental role developments have in transitioning Perth to a waterwise city.

In addition to the Water Corporation endorsement, Rivermark achieved EnviroDevelopment 6 Leaf accreditation, an independent development assessment scheme that recognises projects that achieve outstanding performance in six areas: ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community.

The comprehensive sustainability plans for Rivermark also include maximising tree retention and planting; extensive rehabilitation of natural ecosystems; solar energy systems for dwellings including energy storage; and sustainability incentives for each dwelling and waterwise landscaping.

Thank you to the Water Corporation for this recognition.
